My larger point is that gendered borders exist within as well as across geographical ones. At GAB, I’ll largely be jumping from gender issues in one context to those in another. I think it important to before then say this: we live in a world with increasing connections across borders. As we and ideas flow across them, it doesn’t mean we don’t take those borders with us. There’s a whole world in this city, and it’s not a united one.
